Cost of education at Nashua Community College stays the same for all students in 2022-23 school year

Tuition for New Hampshire residents attending Nashua Community College did not change for the 2022-23 school year, as per the latest figures, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students from New Hampshire paid $7,140 to enroll at the two-year public college in both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Out-of-state students faced tuition costs 115.5% higher than those of in-state students during the 2022-23 year, amounting to $15,390. This rate remained the same as in the previous academic year.

Approximately 90% of the undergraduate body at Nashua Community College are residents of New Hampshire, while around 4% come from other states.

Among full-time undergraduates who began studies at Nashua Community College in 2022-23, 56% received some form of financial aid. Specifically, 53 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $339,079, and 33 students borrowed over $219,419 in student loans.

Across the entire undergraduate population, 407 students utilized grants or scholarships amounting to $2.4 million. Additionally, 233 students obtained federal student loans totaling $1.4 million.

Undergraduate education costs have seen a significant increase over the past few decades. Data shows a 169% rise in the average total cost, including tuition, fees, room, and board, between 1980 and 2020.

According to a 2023 College Board report, in-state students at public universities paid an average of $11,260, while out-of-state students paid $29,150 in the 2023-24 academic year.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
