Republican House candidate Denise Ricciardi has won the race for Senate District 9, defeating incumbent Jeanne Dietsch.
Ricciardi expressed gratitude in a statement posted on her Facebook page on Nov. 4.
“Thank you District 9! Thank you to everyone who supported me in this campaign! To everyone that knocked on doors, made phone calls, donated and supported my campaign. I will be forever grateful for the outpouring of support that made yesterday’s election victory possible. My favorite part of the campaign was meeting people and listening to their concerns. I will take every conversation that I have had over the last several months with me to Concord and do my best to represent every single constituent in Senate District 9! Thank you again, and I would kindly ask all my supporters if they would pick up their lawn sign and either save it for next year, or send me an email so I can come pick it up.”
