FOIA Request to University of New Hampshire College of Professional Studies Online regarding public university FY 2024 employee salaries on December 5, 2025.

The Hillsborough Sun has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the University of New Hampshire College of Professional Studies Online. The request seeks detailed records concerning employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2024. This request is made under the Right to Know Law (RSA. 91-A) and is preferred in electronic format.

The requested information includes a comprehensive list of data fields: fiscal year, employee name, gender, age or year of birth, date of birth, employer name, title or position, department, hire date, compensation amount (including base pay and any additional pay), compensation type (such as salary, hourly wage, stipend, or bonus), and employment type (full-time or part-time). The Hillsborough Sun acknowledges that not all fields may be present in every record but requests that all responsive records be produced regardless. If any part of a record is deemed exempt from disclosure, they ask for the non-exempt portions to be released in redacted form.

As a media organization dedicated to transparency and accountability in public institutions, the Hillsborough Sun believes it qualifies for a fee waiver for this request. The organization emphasizes its role in gathering and reporting news to the public as essential to fulfilling its professional responsibilities.

Additionally, the requester is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit corporation that assists media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies through Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws. More information about this coalition can be found on their website: https://stopsecrecy.org/about/.
