Later in the day at 18:40 UTC, Rice expressed concern about the country’s future. In her post she stated, “It’s all going to come to a head, it’s just a matter of time. This country better pull it together or we are done!”

Rice followed up with another brief message at 19:26 UTC that read simply “Idiots”.

Nikki Haley, who was mentioned in Rice’s first tweet, is a prominent American politician and diplomat who served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018 and has remained an influential figure in national politics.
