The campaign committee of Republican Party candidate Matt Mowers, Mowers for Congress, refunded $5,600 to John Smith on June 30, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: ‘Earmarked contributions to political committees (other than Super PACs and Hybrid PACs) from an individual, partnership or limited liability company’.

Mowers for Congress refunded $74,235 total since January 1.
