The Nashua Division of Public Works announced on March 30 that the city’s annual spring cleanup collection will take place from April 6 through April 17. Residents must schedule pickups by appointment only, with bookings available from March 30 through April 8 by calling 589-3140.

The program allows each household to place one truckload of material at the curbside for removal. Acceptable items include brush, which should be placed with the cut end toward the street and must not exceed four inches in diameter or eight feet in length, as well as shrubs that have been cleaned of sand and soil.

Items not accepted during this collection include metal goods, household hazardous waste, doors, and wood posts. The division emphasized these restrictions to ensure safe and efficient pickup operations.

Residents who hold a valid landfill permit for 2025 may also bring their spring cleanup materials directly to the Four Hills Landfill at 840 West Hollis Street without incurring additional costs. Permits can be purchased at the Division of Public Works office at 848 West Hollis Street during regular weekday hours or at the Four Hills Landfill scale house on Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

The annual spring cleanup is intended to help residents dispose of yard debris while keeping city streets clear and clean ahead of summer.
