Lisa Mazur, a New Hampshire state representative, expressed in an opinion column in the Union Leader that “most Americans oppose allowing males in female spaces or sports.”
“Looks like I triggered this NH Democrat with my last Union Leader op-ed about the need for biological reality in private spaces,” said Liza Mazur, Representatives. “These Dems still can’t read the room and figure out that the majority of America and our state doesn’t want boys in girls’ private spaces or sports. If they think we’re going to let up on this, think again.”
Mazur’s remarks followed the publication of her op-ed in the Union Leader, where she called for recognition of biological distinctions in public policy. Her comments have reignited debate within New Hampshire regarding access to private facilities and fairness in women’s athletics.
According to national polling from Gallup conducted in 2025, 69% of Americans believe athletes should compete based on biological sex. Additionally, 62% oppose allowing biological males to use female-designated restrooms or locker rooms.
New Hampshire lawmakers have introduced several bills concerning gender-based access in sports and public spaces. Legislative discussions have centered around privacy, fairness, and the role of public institutions in defining gender policy.
Mazur is recognized as a conservative advocate for women’s rights and privacy protections. She is known for her outspoken commentary on education and gender issues, particularly emphasizing fairness in women’s sports.
