New Hampshire State Representative Lisa Mazur discussed her legislative work and personal challenges, including being dismissed for speaking out on child safety, as she announced her 2026 re-election bid.
“This Giving Tuesday, I’m reflecting on a year that was both incredibly hard and incredibly meaningful,” said Liza Mazur, Representatives. “In April, I was fired after speaking up for little girls’ safety, all while trying to guide three really important bills through the legislature. It made me stronger than ever. I have decided to run again in 2026.”
Mazur’s remarks come after a year of heightened debate in New Hampshire over legislation related to children’s medical care and parental rights. Her bills, signed by the governor, focused on protecting minors from gender-related medical procedures and expanding patient choice.
According to state records, the “Right to Try” expansion, passed in 2025, allows New Hampshire patients facing life-threatening conditions broader access to experimental treatments. This follows similar laws enacted in more than 40 states.
Two 2025 New Hampshire laws restricted gender-transition procedures for minors, aligning the state with more than 20 others that have enacted comparable legislation aimed at child safety and medical oversight.
Mazur is a Republican State Representative from New Hampshire known for her advocacy on child protection, parental rights, and healthcare freedom. She has been a vocal supporter of legislation safeguarding minors and expanding patient medical options.
