Img 0667

Town of Temple issued the following announcement on October 25.

The Temple Joint Used Book Sale on Saturday, November 6th is a great opportunity to stock up on winter reading matter. Whether your preference is thrillers, self-help, classics, historical fiction, or poetry, you will find it at Temple Town Hall from 9 am to 3 pm. To get the first chance at the best reads, come to the early bird “preview” from 8 to 9 am Saturday, for just $2.

Kids in the home, or some will be visiting over the holidays? The JUBS has lots of children’s books, including picture books, chapter books, nonfiction, and young adult. If you are tired of reading the same bedtime stories to your preschooler, add some others to the book box. Children are welcome at the sale; let them pick out a new favorite!

The novels were written by the famous, like James Patterson, and by first-time authors. There are many reference books including dictionaries both compact and comprehensive. The collection of spiritual & religious books features guides and religious texts.

In advance of the 2022 resolution season, check the collection of self-help, home improvement, gardening, and auto repair books.

Masks will be required; bring your own or we will supply.

The JUBS is co-sponsored by the Mansfield Library and the Historical Society of Temple and proceeds will be divided between the two organizations. They are also hosting a COVID vaccine clinic run by Greater Monadnock Public Health Network in the Town Hall Annex from 11 am to 2 pm on November 6. If you are ready for your first, second shot (either Pfizer or J & J), or booster (only Pfizer boosters), you can get it the same day as your winter book supply. Vaccines are free—just bring ID and if seeking a booster, bring your vaccination card.
