Pack a picnic basket, bring a lawn chair or a blanket, and chill out to music on the library lawn this
summer on Thursdays at 7 pm. Summer Concerts on the Plaza are held inside the library if it rains.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Known as La Mera, Mera (The Real One) to her fans, Veronica Robles has Mexican music in her blood,
having learned corridos, rancheras, and huapangos at her grandmother’s knee. At age 15 she began a
musical career that has included performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the JFK Presidential
Library and Museum, and Berklee Performance Center. Tonight she’ll bring her mariachi band
to her third performance at the library.
