On Saturday, March 7, at 3 p.m., UMass Boston Beacons, featuring former Nashua High School North standout Alex Meesig, claimed an 8-2 victory over the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles in NCAA Division III baseball action.
Monan Park served as the venue for their second matchup of the season against Brockport. The Beacons fell short in the previous contest that also took place on Saturday, March 7, with a 15-6 defeat.
Meesig allowed two earned runs over two innings, notching one walk and three strikeouts.
The Beacons are set to host the WestConn Wolves at Monan Park on Saturday, March 21, with first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.
