Utility work to cause lane and street closures on Amherst and Cottage streets in June

The City of Nashua announced on June 3 that upcoming utility work will result in temporary lane and street closures at several locations throughout the city.

Amherst Street, between Tanguay Avenue and Airport Road/Trafalgar Square, will experience lane closures from Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. for water-related work. Additional gas utility work is scheduled for the same section of Amherst Street from Monday, June 15 to Wednesday, June 17 during the same nighttime hours.

Cottage Street, between Temple Street and Cottage Avenue, will be fully closed on Wednesday, June 10 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for crane operations related to construction or maintenance activities.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during these periods or expect delays due to the planned closures. The city has provided this schedule in advance so residents can plan accordingly.

Further updates regarding roadwork schedules or changes due to weather conditions may be released by city officials as necessary.
