On Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, Mayor Jim Donchess presented the Fiscal Year 2024 proposed budget before the Board of Aldermen.
Mayor Donchess also announced the City's launch of its website-based FY24 Digital Budget Book powered by ClearGov, a leading provider of Budget Cycle Management software for municipalities. The implementation of ClearGov allows for the City to share its annual budget book in an interactive, easy-to-understand presentation. Features include the breakdown of complex financial data into intuitive charts, tables, and graphs. The digital budget book is also mobile-friendly, ADA-compliant, and integrates Google translate.
“We want our budget book to be accessible to our residents, and to display information easily so anyone can understand how their tax dollars are being spent,” the Mayor said. “This is the first step. We’re looking forward to building upon this software in the future.”
